The campaign internship enabled by PPGF was my first time interning at a political consultancy. As a student of law and someone who takes keen interest in politics, the research that I was involved in during this internship was extremely intriguing. It exposed me to a much larger, grittier and real life picture of the political arena and I would be lying if I did not admit that this has been the best internship that I have pursued till date.

The ICPC internship has been an insightful experience for me. The assignments in Module 1 were very comprehensive and gave me a good understanding on what tasks one should expect as a political consultant. Apart from the online classes by expert mentors, the offline work also provided me with an on-ground experience of the workings of a politician's office- V. Muraleedharan (MoS in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs) in my case. It was a great experience that I would highly recommend to those interested in the field.

Being a Mukherjee Fellow was a transformative experience that significantly deepened my understanding of the complex interplay between politics and policymaking. With a longstanding interest in how these realms influence each other, the opportunity to serve as a Political and Policy Researcher for Shri Bhupender Yadav Ji allowed me to gain invaluable, firsthand insights into governance, election strategy, and the dynamic facets of public service.

BA in Public Administration and Governance, PDEU

Growing up, I developed a strong interest in politics and always aspired to understand the inner workings of Indian politics. The Mukherjee Fellowship was a wonderful opportunity to pursue this dream, allowing me to explore the complexities of Indian politics and policymaking. Working on various impactful projects in the office of Shri Babulal Marandi, Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and BJP State President, provided me with valuable insights into the incredible aspects of politics and policymaking. For individuals like me with no background in politics, the Mukherjee Fellowship offers an excellent opportunity to enter what is typically a closed-off space.

My journey with the Mukherjee fellowship was incredibly rewarding. Being deputed at Shri Piyush Goyal Ji’s Office, provided exclusive insights into governance. Each day brought new opportunities to learn. Direct interaction with experts enriched my perspective on public affairs. The program enabled me to deliver results in ways I never thought was possible. It has been a transformative experience which has led me to crystalise my career goals.
